22, of Slaton, Texas; assigned to 1st Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; died July 4 in Taji, Iraq, of injuries sustained in a non-combat-related incident. His death is under investigation.
