Air Force Lt. Col. John D. Loftis
Died February 25, 2012 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom
44, of Paducah, Ky., assigned to 866th Air Expeditionary Squadron, Kabul, Afghanistan; died Feb. 25 from gunshot wounds received during an attack at the Interior Ministry in Kabul. Also killed in the attack was Army Maj. Robert J. Marchanti II.
