Army 1st Lt. Forrest P. Ewens
Died June 16, 2006 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom
25, of Chewelah, Wash.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, N.Y.; killed June 16 when his all-terrain vehicle struck an improvised explosive device during combat operations in Pech River Valley, Afghanistan. Also killed was Sgt. Ian T. Sanchez.
