24, of Pago Pago, American Samoa; assigned to 2nd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; died Aug. 26 in Hasan Karez, Afghanistan, of injuries caused by an improvised explosive device.
