Army Pfc. Adam E. Dobereiner
Died November 18, 2011 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom
21, of Moline, Ill.; assigned to 8th Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade, Fort Hood, Texas.; died Nov. 18 at Kandahar province, Afghanistan of wounds caused by an improvised explosive device.
Honors planned for Illinois soldier killed in Afghanistan

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - The honorable transfer, visitation and funeral of a 21-year-old soldier from Illinois who was killed during combat operations in Afghanistan are scheduled to take place in the Quad Cities area.
Pfc. Adam E. Dobereiner died Nov.18 in Kandahar province of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.
He was assigned to the 8th Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade based at Fort Hood, Texas.
Dobereiner's remains will arrive Thursday at Quad City International Airport and will be transferred to Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematorium in Moline, where visitation will take place. The funeral will be held Friday at Broadway Presbyterian Church in Rock Island, with burial following at Rock Island National Cemetery.
