Army Pvt. Jair DeJesus Garcia
Died August 2, 2008 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom
29, of Chatsworth, Calif.; assigned to the 6th Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; died Aug. 1 in Asadabad, Afghanistan, from wounds sustained when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device. Also killed were 2nd Lt. Michael R. Girdano, Spc. William J. Mulvihill and Pfc. David J. Badie.
