35, of Oxnard, Calif.; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, Fort Bliss, Texas; died Dec. 3 in Haft Asiab, Wardak province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.
