38, of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.; assigned to 2nd Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kan.; died Nov. 21 in Pa'in Kelay, Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds caused by an improvised explosive device.
