Army Sgt. Charles J. McClain
Died October 31, 2006 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom
26, of Fort Riley, Kan.; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y.; died Oct. 31 in Wygal Valley, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. Also killed were Maj. Douglas E. Sloan and Pfc. Alex Oceguera.
