21, of Nankin, Ohio; assigned to the 41st Engineer Company, 1st Engineer Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kan.; died Jan. 20 near Bayji, Iraq, of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle.
