Army Sgt. Nimo W. Tauala
Died March 17, 2007 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom
29, of Honolulu; assigned to the 209th Aviation Support Battalion, Combat Aviation Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; died March 17 in Muqdadiyah, Iraq, of a non-combat-related injury. His death is under investigation.
City Council honors fallen soldier from ’Aiea

The Honolulu City Council will recognize the family of Army Staff Sgt. Nimo “Wesley” W. Masaniani Tauala, of ’Aiea on April 11. Tauala died last month In Muqdadiyah, Iraq.
The 29-year-old Schofield Barracks soldier was assigned to the 209th Aviation Support Battalion, Combat Aviation Brigade, 25th Infantry Division. He joined the Army in January 2000 and was assigned to Schofield Barracks in February 2004.
Tauala died March 17 from noncombat-related causes, according to a Department of Defense news release.
