BERLN, N.H. — The mayor of Berlin wants to create a memorial for a soldier who grew up here and was killed in Iraq.
Randy Rosenberg, 23, a sergeant assigned to the Ninth Cavalry out of Fort Hood, Texas, was killed when a suicide bomber blew up in front of the vehicle he was riding in Iraq.
Mayor Bob Danderson has proposed to the City Council that a brass plaque in Rosenberg’s honor be located somewhere in the parking lot behind city hall.
