27, of Oelwein, Iowa; assigned to the 224th Engineer Battalion, 155th Brigade Combat Team, Iowa Army National Guard, Fairfield, Iowa; died March 4 at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Landstuhl, Germany, of injuries sustained Feb. 27 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his military vehicle in Ramadi, Iraq.
