Shaun P. Tousha didn’t have time to sit around.
“He hardly ever watched any TV. We were always outside, playing horseshoes, working cows, something,” his brother Tommy said.
“He loved being the center of attention,” he added. “He was very polite, raised right, mannerful. But he also knew when it was OK to act a fool and cut up. He liked to have a good time.”
Tousha, 30, of Hull, Texas, was killed April 9 by a roadside bomb in Baghdad. He was a 1996 high school graduate and was assigned to Fort Hood.
His aunt, Deb Tousha, said her nephew was a country boy who enjoyed dancing and riding bulls. “He loved to wear his tight jeans and cowboy boots,” she said.
Tousha’s mother died of cancer when he was in junior high school. His father died in 2002.
Stacy Eaglin, who graduated from high school with Tousha, remembered her former classmate for his manners and because of a tame Brahman bull he entered at livestock shows. “He was quiet, but very polite, much more than most young men out here.”
He is survived by his wife, Cristy; a stepson, Colton Burns, and a stepdaughter, Maycee Burns.
