Died July 15, 2007 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom
25, of Manchester, Ga.; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Bliss, Texas; died July 15, in Mosul, Iraq, of wounds sustained from a rocket-propelled grenade.
Fort Bliss soldier killed in Iraq

FORT BLISS, Texas — A Fort Bliss soldier from Georgia was killed this week in Iraq, the Department of Defense announced July 17.
Spc. Benjamin B. Bartlett Jr., of Manchester, Ga., died July 15 in Mosul in a rocket-propelled grenade attack.
Bartlett, 25, was a fire support specialist assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division. He was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart and promoted to specialist.
Bartlett joined the Army in Atlanta in 2005 and was previously stationed at Fort Sill, Okla.
