Army Spc. Jonathan A. Emard
Died June 4, 2008 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom
20, of Mesquite, Texas; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, N.Y.; died June 4 in Tikrit, Iraq, of wounds sustained in Sharqat, Iraq, when his unit was attacked by enemy forces using small-arms fire and hand grenades. Also killed were Sgt. Shane P. Duffy and Sgt. Cody R. Legg.
