Died December 27, 2005 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom
26, of Hempstead , N.Y.; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; killed Dec. 27 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his dismounted patrol in Baghdad. Also killed was Pvt. Joshua M. Morberg.
