Army Spc. Matthew K. Reece
Died December 1, 2007 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom
24, of Harrison, Ark.; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.; died Dec. 1 in Baghdad of wounds sustained when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device.

HARRISON, Ark. — A soldier based at Fort Bragg has been killed in Iraq.
The military confirmed Nov. 3 that 24-year-old Army Spc. Matthew K. Reece of Harrison, Ark., died Dec. 1 from wounds sustained when his vehicle was struck by a roadside bomb in Baghdad.
Reece was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, at Fort Bragg. He joined the Army in 2005 and arrived at the 82nd Airborne the following year.
The military says Reece is survived by his wife, two children and his parents. A memorial service will be held in Iraq.
Reece is the 57th soldier from Arkansas to be killed in the Iraq war.
