Army Spc. Ryan D. Russell
Died March 5, 2007 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom
20, of Elm City, N.C.; assigned to the 1st Squadron, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; died March 5 in Baqubah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his unit. Also killed were Spc. Blake Harris and Pvt. Barry W. Mayo.
