30, of Birmingham, Ala.; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga.; killed May 3 when his unit was conducting a route security mission and an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee in Baghdad.
