29, of Crystal Lake, Ill.; assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 363, Marine Aircraft Group 24, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III MEF, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii; died Jan. 19 in Helmand province, Afghanistan, when the CH-53D helicopter he was riding in crashed.
