Marine Cpl. Christopher M. Monahan Jr.
Died November 26, 2012 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom
25, of Island Heights, N.J.; assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 2, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.; died Nov. 26 in Helmand province, Afghanistan, while conducting combat operations.
Funeral held for NJ Marine killed in Afghanistan

ISLAND HEIGHTS, N.J. — Funeral services have been held for a U.S. Marine from Island Heights, New Jersey who was killed last month in Afghanistan.
A traditional Roman Catholic funeral mass and U.S. Marine Corps honor guard was held for Cpl. Christopher M. Monahan Jr., Thursday at St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church in Berkeley.
He's being laid to rest in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.
The 25-year-old Monahan was a father of three.
