25, of Colonia, N.J.; assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 363, Marine Aircraft Group 24, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III MEF, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii; died Jan. 19 in Helmand province, Afghanistan, when the CH-53D helicopter he was riding in crashed.
Flags to be lowered to honor fallen NJ marine

TRENTON, N.J. — Gov. Chris Christie has ordered flags at all state buildings to be flown at half-staff to honor a fallen Marine corporal.
The flags will be lowered Monday in tribute to Kevin Reinhard, who was among six Marines killed Jan. 19 when their helicopter went down in Afghanistan.
Reinhard grew up in Woodbridge and was a 2005 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Metuchen. He also attended Ramapo College and Middlesex County College before enlisting in the Marines in 2008.
The 25-year-old was serving his second tour of duty overseas and was due to return home in a few weeks.
Reinhard and the other Marines were assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 363, Marine Aircraft Group 24, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force based in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.
Funeral held for NJ Marine killed in Afghanistan

WOODBRIDGE, N.J. — Hundreds of people packed a central New Jersey church for the funeral of a Marine corporal killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan.
Family members and friends referred to Kevin Reinhard as a “white knight” who was known for his courage and generosity.
The 25-year-old Woodbridge Township man was one of six Marines killed in the Jan. 19 crash. They were supporting combat operations in the Helmand province.
Reinhard and the other Marines were assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 363, Marine Aircraft Group 24, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force based in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.
Reinhard enlisted in the Marines in the spring of 2008 and was serving his second tour of duty overseas He was due to return home to New Jersey in a few weeks.
