Flags at half-staff honor fallen Mo. Marine

LEADWOOD, Mo. — U.S. and Missouri flags on state buildings in St. Francois County will fly at half-staff Saturday through July 1 to honor a Marine who died in Afghanistan.
Lance Cpl. Michael Bailey, 29, was from the St. Francois County town of Park Hills. He was killed June 16 while supporting combat operations in Afghanistan's Helmand province.
Bailey was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, based at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, Calif.
Bailey's funeral will be held Friday. Gov. Jay Nixon has ordered the U.S. and Missouri flags at all state buildings to fly at half-staff on that day.
