Died October 6, 2010 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom
22, of Greenwood Lake, N.Y., assigned to 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.; died Oct. 6 at Camp Dwyer, Afghanistan, from wounds received while conducting combat operations.
Marine lance corporal killed in Afghanistan

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. — Military officials say a Marine based at Camp Lejeune has been killed in Afghanistan.
The Department of Defense announced Oct. 7 that 22-year-old Lance Cpl. Scott A. Lynch of Greenwood Lake, N.Y., died Oct. 6 at Camp Dwyer, in Helmand province, Afghanistan.
Lynch was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force.
