VOLUNTOWN, Conn. — Three days of services and public gatherings will be held for an eastern Connecticut Marine killed in Afghanistan earlier this month.
Voluntown officials say Lance Cpl. Tyler Griffin’s body was set to arrive in his hometown late April 12.
Calling hours were to be held at the funeral home April 13, followed by a memorial service April 14 in the center of Voluntown. Both events are public.
Burial arrangements haven’t been set. Officials say Griffin asked in his will to be buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
Griffin was 19 when he killed during combat operations April 1.
